The Wine
What type of white wine is produced in Corsica? There are three dominant grape varieties, Vermentinu, Muscat petits grains, and Bianco Gentile. Choose Vermentinu if you prefer dry white wine, Bianco Gentile if you like sweet and exotic flavors, and Muscat petit grain if you want to go for candied fruit.
Grape(s): 100% Vermentinu.

Soil(s): Parcel selection characteristic of Corsican terroirs – balance of Schists, Limestones, Granites, Clays.
Harvest : Manual harvest.
Winemaking: Direct pressing of whole or destemmed grapes according to maturity. Static settling for 24-48 hours. Fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Partial aging on fine lees for 1-2 months.

White Wine Signature ALPA: you can buy it with closed eyes, a truly good white wine for your fish and appetizers, on vacation in Corsica, and to remember them at home. The value for money is very good.
Sommelier's advice
Service temperature: 8-11°, according to your taste
Food and wine pairings: it’s a perfect wine for an aperitif, and with fish and shellfish.
Aging potential: 2026.
Vermentinu or Vermentino is certainly the most precious white grape variety of Corsica and Mediterranean vineyards.
My Origins
Schists

A dry and well-drained schist soil, to give character to my minerality.
Limestones

Limestone for my finesse, my elegance and my freshness.
Granites

Granite to shape my fruit, my flower and the length.
Clays

Generous clay to give me body.
Vermentinu produces high-quality white wines, generally pale yellow with green reflections, with an elegant and complex nose where notes of white flowers (hawthorn, acacia), yellow flowers (broom) mingle with those of white fruits (pear, apple, quince), dried fruits (almond), citrus, and exotic fruits. On the palate, they are perfectly balanced, ample and long, sometimes mineral. It is an eclectic grape variety that can explore many winemaking routes and produce very different styles of wine (wood, concrete egg, residual sugars).
